The statement came during an ongoing workshop on digital development programs that is being held with Microsoft and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology.
According to Belete Molla Microsoft is launching the program in Ethiopia as well as a number of African countries including Angola and Cape Verde.
The program is more than an assortment of digital tools; it is a beacon of hope for low- and middle-income nations, a pathway to a future where digital empowerment, the Minster added.
Dr. Belete, underscored the forum is more than an exchange of ideas, and is a vessel where the future of Ethiopia’s digital landscape will be forged by setting millstones and creating a clear roadmap for the implementation of the projects and related activities.
Microsoft has selected Ethiopia as one of the first five countries to participate in its impactful Digital Development Initiative to Developing Countries.
