D!NK TV is a digital media platform and ecosystem exclusively dedicated to connecting local Ethiopian creatives with the African continent and the world, launches tomorrow. The channel offers a range of creator-led programming, edu-tainment, and experimental transmedia storytelling.
Established by DINK Multimedia PLC, the team behind Design Week Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s first international festival for the creative sector, and Kinetic Dawn Multimedia, a full-service production studio and communications firm. The company envisions D!NK TV as Ethiopia’s “MTV for creatives”. Given the world’s diminishing attention span, coupled with an increasing demand for content, D!NK TV is focused on producing short-form series on a variety of industries and topics including: Technology, Entertainment & Culture, Fashion, Lifestyle, Beauty & Wellness, Fitness & Sports, Real Estate, Food & Beverage, Tourism and Hospitality.
These quick-bites or “gursha’s of content” will be available across all major social medial platforms. Episode teasers will be shared on D!NK TV’s Instagram and TikTok pages, while full episodes can be found exclusively on their YouTube channel. In addition to content, D!NK seeks to build community by offering their audience special benefits for their engagement and incentives for theirsupport, such as, access to discount codes, private D!NK events, employment opportunities, networking sessions, trainings, workshops and other resources. These “community perks” are shared through their Telegram channel.
D!NK TV officially launches this Friday, January 6 th 2023 across its digital platforms. The first wave of content will include cooking demos, fitness and nutrition tips, fashion, real estate and interior design, creative profiles, lifestyle, beauty, and wellness segments featuring talented up-and-coming social media influencers
